Completing the Central Digital Platform (CDP) – How to Do It?
Completing the Central Digital Platform (CDP) still remains one of the main questions we are asked. It has officially been one year since the launch of the Central Digital Platform (CDP) in February 2025. Introduced under the Procurement Act 2023, this platform was designed to transform public procurement by creating a central repository for supplier details, making it easier for businesses to find and bid for contracts.
However, as we hit this milestone, we are seeing a recurring trend that is preventing many businesses from successfully bidding: incomplete registrations. Many bidders believe they are ready because they have registered with the GOV.UK One Login, but they stop there.

Simply having a login is not enough. To be tender ready, you must also register with Find a Tender and, most importantly, fully complete your CDP profile. Think of the CDP as your Tender Passport, without it being fully completed and updated, you may be hindered from doing business with the public sector (we’ve also seen some private tenders ask for the CDP as well as it’s the easiest of assessing key readiness details for a bidding organisation).
Completing the Central Digital Platform (CDP) – What Exactly is Required
To ensure your passport is valid, your profile must be fully complete. This includes more than just your company name and address; you need to have the following information ready and uploaded:
- Company Details: Accurate name and address as they appear on Companies House.
- Connected Persons: You must list any individuals or organisations with significant influence or control (check your Persons of Significant Control on Companies House if you’re not sure).
- General Qualifications: Include your relevant ISO accreditations and other business certifications.
- Trade Assurances: Any industry-specific memberships or registrations required for your sector.
- Exclusions: You must declare any discretionary or mandatory exclusions. In a competitive landscape, you generally need to be able to answer “no” here to remain a viable candidate.
- Financial Information: You must upload copies of your accounts from the most recent financial years.
How to Share Your CDP and Generate Your Share Code
Once your information is entered, you must declare and share it to make it visible to buyers. To do this from your Home Screen after signing in:
- Click ‘My Account’.
- Complete the ‘Supplier Information’ section
- Scroll to the bottom and click ‘Declare & Create Code’ (once all sections are complete)
- Once the code is generated, click the hyperlinked text below it to ‘download the supplier information’.
- Send the ZIP file of your supplier information and your unique share code to your tender writing service.
Don’t Miss Out on Tender Opportunities
The CDP is a tell us once system; once it’s done correctly, you can reuse that information for multiple bids. But if it’s wrong, it can stall your entire submission. Most of the information is unlikely to change, especially if you maintain the same business address, do not have any change of directors/PSCs, renew your memberships, registrations and accreditations, leaving only your accounts to update on annual basis.
Your Tender Team is here to help. We can complete the entire CDP process for you or perform a comprehensive check to ensure your profile is accurate and you are truly tender ready.
